Verdigris Wins Silver in 11th Annual Best in Biz Awards

Company recognized in the Most Innovative Product of the Year – Enterprise category

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – December 1, 2021 – Verdigris has been named a silver winner in the 11th annual Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America. Verdigris was honored in the Most Innovative Product of the Year – Enterprise category for its AI-powered smart building management platform that optimizes energy consumption for organizations with data, insights and automation.

“Excessive energy waste within the enterprise is a global problem that is entirely preventable,” said Mark Chung, co-founder & CEO, Verdigris. “We’re proud to offer a solution that helps enterprises dramatically reduce their energy usage and spending, and are honored to receive this Best in Biz award for our innovation.”

Verdigris was selected from more than 700 impressive entries from public and private companies of all sizes and spanning all geographic regions and industries in the U.S. and Canada, ranging from some of the best known global brands to the most innovative start-ups and local companies. Best in Biz Award winners are determined based on scoring from independent judging panels assembled each year from some of the most respected national and local newspapers, TV and radio outlets, and business, consumer, technology and trade publications in North America. The 2021 judging panel included, among others, writers from Associated Press, Barron’s, Consumer Affairs, Inc., USA Today, and Wired.

“This year’s entries were of exceptionally high caliber,” said Joseph Pete, Times of Northwest Indiana, judging his third Best in Biz Awards program. “Any would have been deserving of recognition and any could have won were it not for the high level of competition. The entries displayed an impressive list of accomplishments as well as quantifiable achievement.”

Verdigris’ Best in Biz award is the latest in a series of awards and recognition for the company in 2021. These include a 2021 IoT Innovator Award; a 2021 Sustainability Award from the Business Intelligence Group; a 2021 Silver Stevie Award in the 18th Annual International Business Awards®; a 2021 Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Award in the Energy Management category; and a 2021 Network Sustainability Award.
